Site for rehearsal party/picnic

I am getting married in Sonoma/Napa area this summer.  We have about 80 people coming from out of town so would like to host a gatheirng the day.evening before.  We want it to be low key and inexpensive.  Anyone have any ideas?  Was thinking of renting picninc space at a park and having a late afternoon picnic.

    Does your hotel have a restaurant/lounge area?  Our party of about 40 people gathered the evening before at our hotel in Napa and used their restaurant and lounge area for free (we did tip the service staff!).  It was perfect!  We brought in our own food and drinks.  It was relaxed and no one had to worry about transportation and drinking/driving ;)

    We stayed at the Best Western Premier Ivy Hotel.  It was a perfect stay!  They were so attentive to our guests and made sure every detail was taken care of.  We used their restaurant and patio area for our rehearsal dinner AND after the wedding was over.  Loved it!  They will not reserve the space for you (because they still needed to keep it open for the rest of their guests), but we didn't have a problem.  Our rehearsal dinner was on a Friday evening, and we scheduled it just as the hotel's wine hour was ending.
    I really liked it because it allowed everyone to mingle late into the night.

    They honestly did a better job at hospitality than the winery that hosted our wedding!
