FG/RB Question

Fifth Anniversary 500 Comments Name Dropper
in June 2012 Weddings
Is anybody not having a FG or RB? At first FI and I were going to have 2 of each, but now I'm not sure that I want to have any at all.  I've been to weddings were there weren't any so I know it will look okay. The only thing is I've already asked one of my cousins if I could use her kids. So if we decide not to have any how do I tell her we don't need to use her kids anymore?

    I think it's rude to un-ask anyone that you have already asked to be part of your wedding.

    Ditto this.

    I am only having one ring bearer (my nephew). Although, that may change if we ask FI's daughter if FI's grandson can be another ring bearer, but only time will tell on that if we will definately ask.

    im having 3 fg and 1 rb and only because they are FI nieces and nephew and it was like a must to have them all there....which i wasn't really happy about it but i guess is working out okay ....I would just talk to ur cusin and let her know that things have change and you no longer would need her kids, Im sure she will understand. GL:)

    I'm not having a FG or RB. I feel like everything is so much easier if kids aren't involved. We also don't have any nieces/nephews/young kids that we are close to, so it was an easy decision.

    I think if you don't have a big falling out or something like that then it's rude not to unask. I don't get why you asked our opinions when everyone said no and you said she'll be fine and talk about it with your FI tonight

    I agree with this. We are not having either because we are not close to anyone.

    Edit: Also how old are the FGs? Little girls can get their heart set on the dress and having a part in the wedding (most girls like to play dress-up). You might want to consider that. This happened to my cousin's little girl last year and she was upset about it.

    I agree here; but I think she just asked if anyone else had was not having a FG/RB, but thats just semantics.

    And also ditto Harper, if the girls are already psyched to get dressed up I'd just let them do it.

    Initially we were only having one each. My goddaughter (will be 2 in March) and her older brother (just turned 5). Then my FI said that he wanted his 4 year old cousin from Reno in the wedding too. So now we have two FGs and one RB. There is no guarantee that his cousin will cooperate, she is very shy and doesn't know anyone. So we will have to wait and see...

    We are actually having 4 RB and 2 FG.  My nephews and nieces.  I love kids, and I especially love these kids so it was no question that they would be a part of our day.  Who knows if they will do what they are asked, but that doesn't really matter to me.  I think it will be cute either way.  To each their own.

    I'm only having a FG.  I didn't really want a RB and didn't really know any younger boys that could fit the role.  My FG is my old adviser's adorable daughter.

    I'm sorry you are stressed about it.  I would just leave it as the ones you asked already and just move on to avoid more stress.
