Both tastings booked- on my birthday. :)

We booked our tasting for the cake and recieved an invitation for a group dinner tasting at our reception site- both for Tuesday the 31st. Which is also my birthday. So! Happy birthday to me! I'm excited!

Really hopeful to try some lemon and raspberry cake. Yum!

  • FI isn't too keen on the idea, he has never tried it though! He just keeps talking about how it's a weird combination. Obviously, he has never seen raspberry lemonade, haha.
  • Yum, we're doing lemon raspberry for one of our tiers, its so delish! We have our group tasting coming up too (feb. 4th). Im dying to try the food!

  • You just reminded me that I want to email my contact at the venue and ask when my tasting is.

  • Awesome birthday!  I'm jealous of all of you girls, we don't get to have a food tasting.  We're currently talking them into letting us go during a wedding and eat in the office.
  • That is awesome. Lemon raspberry is my favorite too!

DiryWater-Why are you not getting to do a tasting? That seems kinda silly.

  • Thanks ladies! I'm happy to see other people love the lemon+raspberry combination! We reaaalllyy want peanut butter in it, but too many nut allergies. Drat. We'll be tasting it anyways, happy birthday to me. Haha.

@ Dirtywater: I hope you are able to talk them into it! Have you at least seen good reviews?
  • They have an amazing reputation for food.  Everyone that we know who has attended weddings there raved about the food.  We never heard a bad review from friends or the knot.  I think I'm getting somewhere.  The coordinator asked us which we wanted to taste and she said once the spring comes she'll see which dates they are being served and she can try to sneak us in.

In our case it doesn't really matter when we choose the food, since we're serving it family style.  Both options will be at each table, that way people can eat as much of whichever they want or both.

They're really nice and are letting us bring in FI's family wine, when they aren't really supposed to as well.
