Wedding Woes

Post 1 of 2: A Dex funny

I have a lot of work to do today, but of course I couldn't resist getting sucked in for a little while.  So, 2 posts, then I'm gone. :)

This morning, Dexter found some of my tampons in the zippered pouch I had packed them in for our camping trip 2 weeks ago. They have a plastic-ish wrapper.  He unzipped it and said, "DIAPERS!"  I cracked up because (1) he is funny and (2) WTF? They don't look like diapers, even all bunched up in a zippered pouch.

Then he took one out and said "BAR!" thinking it was something akin to the nutrigrain bars he eats very regularly.  I was DED.  I could not convince him that it was not a bar.  He hands it to me and says, "Open it?"  I said, "No, those are Moms. We don't need to open it."  But he insisted, so I figured I'd just show him it was NOT a bar and he couldn't eat it.

He played with that thing for 15 minutes.  Dumped the actual tampon quickly, but the applicator was a huge hit.

Kids are so funny.

The applicator (God, I hate that it's called that) is pretty similar to paper towel/toilet paper tubes, and those entertain kids for hours.

Stop buying toys and get him a box of super delux tampons so he can have giant applicators to play with.

Or just give him paper towel and toilet paper rolls. Totally saving money while entertaining your kid

That is hilarious.  I'm going to have to remember that.  The Woozle has dug tampons out of my purse before, but never showed much interest.  If only she knew what was inside.

I hardly ever pop in here, but I just wanted to say that's hilarious.

I found Mom's at an early age.  To get me to shut up, she said they were batteries. (WTF?)
That bit her in the bottom months later when they were playing a board game that required batteries, and were searching the house for some.
I brought her tampons out, in front of a living room full of guests, smiling ear to ear.
