I could use some opinions here....my stationer told me that printed directions to the church and/or venue are becoming a thing of the past in wedding invitations. She says most people use GPS now anyways, so instead of including detailed directions, you include the venue's full address on your invitation and people find their own directions. I half-agree with it...part of me still feels the need to provide my guests with every bit of information that they could possibly need for my wedding. She says "you don't need to spoon-feed these people!" which makes me chuckle

I was thinking, as a compromise, I would slip a small piece of ivory paper (same color as the invitations) into each envelope, which includes the URL to our website, and says "For driving directions and information on accomodations, visit our wedding website"
Does this seem too non-traditional? We aren't having a SUPER formal wedding but it is definitely somewhat formal (evening wedding). Our website has a lot of info - directions, area hotels, our full menu, registry info, and my e-mail address for people with questions. I'd like all of our guests to know about the website because I think it will be a useful resource for them.
Thoughts? TIA!
