Kind of late with this review - sorry!
I went to Sue last year to have my wedding dress altered. I live in Chicago and usually only stay in Chicago, but after reading many negative reviews about other places here I decided to try my luck with Sue. From the minute I met her, I felt comfortable with her. Throughout deciding how to alter my dress, she gave me great suggestions, but did not press me to take them. I agreed with what she suggested and the one little thing I ended up wanting to do different she agreed with right away. This was NOT the norm in other places I read about.
She altered my dress EXACTLY how I wanted and how we had discussed. It looked flawless and was comfortable the whole night! I had the sides taken in (in the bust area), the length shortened, and a bustle added. I also had her sew the front middle bust area together a little bit more so that it looked more rouched (sp?) which couldn't have been an easy thing to do. And my bustle lasted the entire night, most of which was spent dancing.
And she is very reasonably priced for all the work she did and the quality of it!
I would definitely go to her again for an important alteration. She is absolutely delightful to work with and you feel comfortable discussing what you want and don't want with her.
