 have you guys received alot of wedding gifts in the mail from people who aren't coming to the weddings? my mom said to start expecting alot of gifts in the mail ( when we sent out invites at the 2 month mark) and we only have recieved one in the mail and one person dropped off their present this weekend. is this normal? also, i have to admit i've been stalking my registries often and there hasn't been a lot of action which makes me depressed ( i don't know why). when do you think ( how close to the wedding) the registries will start picking up with activity?

I love to see what people have bought us before we get the actual present. My fiance hates this about me. lol

    We have gotten quite a few presents and there are a few that I'm concerned about showing up at the wedding. For example - the 60 lb clock was purchased months ago but hasn't shown up so I'm expecting to see it at the wedding.

    Some guests will also likely bring cash to the wedding as well so have some place nice and safe for those presents to be stored.

    The only gift I've received so far was from my mom, so you're not alone.

    I've checked out our registry a few times, and out of the few items on there, only 1 has been purchased.

    I don't know if we'll get a whole lot off of the registry... Just a feeling I've gotten, so I don't think I'll see a "pick up of activity" really. If we do, it'll likely be the week before the wedding I would presume and I'll be too busy to registry stalk!

    I don't know, I didn't even want to do a registry because I've had this feeling the whole wedding planning process that people aren't going to give us stuff anyway. People keep insisting they will, so we made one. Meh, I still don't really feel comfortable with it so maybe that's why I have a negative outlook on the whole gift giving thing.

    Try not to drive yourself TOO crazy with the registry stalking, but I don't really think it's a big deal to check it out now and again :)
