Good Spot for Engagement Photos?

I am looking for a beautiful spot for engagement photos.  I wanted to have them at Lyndhurst Castle but its $150 an hour to just take photos outside there!
Anyone know of any other good spots that do not charge?

    My photographer is having us do them at Glen Island Park in the fall because our wedding is in the summer and that's where we are taking our wedding pics. He said that the foliage at the park is beautiful at this time of the year.

    You could also try the rock walk which is right next to Horse shoe harbor yacht club. Free parking and free to walk. Plus the view is of the LI Sound and it has gazebos gardening, etc...

    Vanderbilt Grounds..Mansion is right near me in Hyde Park (Poughkeepsie). FDR Home, Mills Mansion, Hudson River with Walkway or Hudson Bridge.

    You could go around the towns there or maybe try the acqueduct? What about Matheson Park, Kykuit, Blue Hill at Stone Barns, a library, or Tallman State Park?
