Sponsor Couple - question

We are meeting with our Sponsor Couple for the 1st time this week.  I have a few questions:

1.  Are we supposed to bring snacks to their house?  I thought I read something about this.  If so, what did you bring to your sponsor couple's house?  Obviously we have never met them.

2.  How many meetings did you have?

3.  How long were these sessions?

4.  Did anyone make a long lasting friendship with their sponsor couple?

    we did not have a sponsor couple so i cant answer 2, 3 or 4.

    as for 1, if you are going to someone's house, i would bring something.  a nice plant, baked goods, wine, etc.  you should bring something whenever you are invited to someone's home, regardless of the sponsor couple issue.

    1. Ditto Calypso, treat this meeting as you would any other invitation to someone's house and bring some kind of host/hostess gift.

    2. I think we had 3 meetings, but our couple said that typically they have 3-5 sessions depending on how they go.

    3. About 2 hours each I think

    4. I had known my sponsor couple for a long time even before I met DH, which is partly why our meetings were so long - we had good conversations.

    OK we got lots of snacks for the 1st meeting.  I guess I'll know more after that!  Eeek, I hope they are nice!
