Candy Buffet Opinions

Re: Candy Buffet Opinions

  • We are going to do our favorites.  I don't think my FI is that excited about the candy bar (he isn't that enthusiastic about any of it though), but if I made it match the colors he wouldn't like it much.  Plus I'd rather it be personal.  He really wants there to be nuts (pistasios for sure!) and maybe some dried fruit as an option, so really we have a candy, fruit & nuts bar!

  • I would love a candy bar....but with our tiny wedding we decided against it.  I did however buy a couple packs of the stickers that can be printed and put on the bottom of hersheys kisses.  So I plan to buy a few bags and  just have them in a big bowl or jar of some kind.  I love them, think they are cute, and silver is one of our colors so it all works.

  • FI and I am doing our favorite candy. We thought about going with the colors but we thought it would be a lot cheaper to purchase our favorites. Also if there is left overs we will happily eat it.

  • I don't like colour coordinated candy. There's not enough really GOOD candy in one or two colours to do that.

  • We're actually doing both. But I think it works for us because our favorites are already our wedding colors, or can come in our wedding colors. But we're not making it so uniform that its a giant table of one or two colors. Like fall, there are all sorts of colors, so we'll have oranges, reds, golds, browns, etc. And that way we get fruity treats AND chocolatey ones. We're also having cupcakes in 4 flavors. So just because you want it to look a certain way, doesn't mean you can't still have your favorites.

  • I know it's obvious you could always incorporate your colours with the linen on the table, the candy bags and ribbons or something around the jars. Then you're not losing out at all...

  • We are doing the colours because ours are brown and blue....so chocolate was easy, and there are a lot of blue candies too...so it'll add to the decore

<div>I agree with this. It seems like colored candy all tastes like the same generic stuff. I'd rather try a few of the bride and groom's favorites that actually taste good!</div>
