Hilton Altamonte Springs

Has anyone done their wedding at the Hilton Altamonte Springs? The inside seems really nice -- newly renovated. I'm just curious about how the service/pricing was...

We planned to look at it and didn't because we loved the Sheraton in Maitland. The pictures were nice though, but the reviews were iffy online. Hard to judge if they were from before a renovation though.

We loved the fact that it had just been redone, the lobby is modern and clean and the ballroom has high recessed ceilings with chandeliers. Plus they have a few things included that made us happy including a Suite for us for Sat night (we rented it for Friday), a hotel room for Brides Parents and Chocolate covered strawberries with cake serving.

We also look at the Embassy Suites, and honestly the pricing was about the same, the Cocktail area is in the center of the hotel, and the ballroom had low "drop ceilings" and was an awkward shape (rectangle). It felt very outdated to me.

O I almost forgot I love the catering manager at the Sheraton she has been putting up with my crazy questions, and added breakfast for my guests to the room block rate.

I have stayed there before and after the renovations. The work they have done is really nice. Before the renovations, it was just ok if you were doing a meeting, but probably not for a nice wedding. It looked old. Now it is very modern and nicely done. I would recommend driving over to take a look at it.
