Anyone hosting or bringing goodies somewhere to watch the game? We're having just a few friends over and this is what I'm tossing around:
Jalepeno Popper DipBuffalo Chicken bitesSlow cooker pulled pork tacosS'mores Cookie BarsAnd a variety of chips, veggies, and dip.
Re: Superbowl menus?
I am really not a pro football fan. I have picked a couple of teams that I like. Saints (because who doesn't love the city of New Orleans and that city calls to me) and Tampa Bay (I mean they have a pirate ship as part of their stadium).
Kidding! Kind of. Not really. Love you, Irish & Stan!!!!
Buffalo chicken dip (replace ranch with blue cheese dressing, though)
Strawberry margarita jello shots
Fried bacon mac 'n cheese balls
Bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers
Tacos (no link, because it's a personal recipe - we hand-fry the tortillas into crispy shells, slow cook the meat in a special sauce, cut up fresh onions, tomatoes, lettuce, and serve with lots of shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, and salsa)
I'm with Crown.. My superbowl was in January and My team won!!!
We are having a dinner party tomorrow night with some of my parents friends.. We're having to figure out some vegetarian stuff since 3 of our guests are vegetarians.. but I like a challenge!!
I'm also a big fan of spinach & artichoke dip, but it's not FI's favorite, so we're skipping it.

Last year, we were supposed to go to some guy's house for the Super Bowl, and Ted ended up cancelling last minute after I had already made the dips, and we stayed home and ate them ourselves!

Ha ha! I don't even remember what we did last year! What sucks is that Cass is done with midterms this week, so I feel like I should try and find somewhere for us to go watch it, he needs the break! Or, I may go your route and make dips for just us, causeeee that does sound like a good idea to me! :)
Haha Cal, I'll be serving up the Pats on a platter too!!
Txrngr, I sort of need this sausage bread you speak of.....is there a recipe of sorts you could point me too??? H would be all over that.

That scared, huh? <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-kiss.gif" border="0" alt="Kiss" title="Kiss" />
Nah, it should be a great game! I'll definitely cry if the Pats loose, but it'll likely be high-scoring and lots of exciting plays, so that'll be good.
Are you watching alone?

We could be playing the Dolphins and I'd be scared. I just love the Giants so much, that when they don't do well, I get really bummed out.
