Addressing Envelopes

Hi Ladies,

Just wondering what you are doing or did to address your invitations? Are you using a calligrapher? What other options are there?

    I did clear labels.

    *ducks tomatoes thrown my way*

I didn't have money for a calligrapher and my handwriting is beyond horrible.

I am just doing a pretty font on my computer that matches my invitation font and printing them at home.

Jamie, you are so funny! I have to send my invites out next week or the week after that and I'm coming across the same dilemma. I would like to have someone else write them because my handwriting isn't so fancy.

Edit: Not even the cheapest of cheapest calligraphy would work for my budget right now, lol. Printing it is! :)

I used clear labels and did the writing in monotype, which is cursive, they came out nice. I just found it silly to spend $300 to have someone do the calligraphy.

I'll be doing the clear labels as well, I don't see anything wrong with it either, but then again I'm on a HUGE budget.

If you lurk over on the Invitations board, it's practically sacrilegious to mention labels.

I forgot to add that I used a nicer font too. None of the Arial/Courier/Times New Roman fonts.

I will be printing directly on the envelopes. I don't think callig. is worth the expense. But that's just me.

I did the calligraphy myself. I wouldn't say I'm good enough to open my own business for it, but it worked for me. Good luck!

We printed directly on the envelopes at home and they came out beautifully.  So easy and free!

Our invites came with large labels (like the ones in PP above) that we printed from our computer in a pretty font.  They turned out really well.

We did clear labels with a nice font that matched our modern, non-traditional invites.  Most people throw the envelopes in the garbage, so using labels wasn't a big deal for me!
