Snarky Brides

What would you do?

So all this talk of jobs and people quitting to take year-long vacations, etc. has got me wondering...what would you pursue if you didn't have to worry about money, career, etc.?

I would totally open a bakery. I have always loved baking...and I am sitting here watching Cake Boss on Netflix....haha

Re: What would you do?

  • just a year? go double and triple time at school to get all of my credits done and over with so i dont have to keep pushing thru part time school full time work lol ah to dream
  • Whenever I see "what would you do"  I just automatically want to say "Fuuck a biitch up" no matter what the question is.

  • I'd move to Maui and do nothing but lay on the beach, drink mai tais and eat fresh fruit all the time.  Maybe do a wine mixer now and again.

I love working but if money was no object - I'd be a professional beach bum.

  • Oooh, I could either do the bakery thing or the beach bum thing...

  • I would work with Scott to open up the Bed and Breakfast he's always dreamed of having. He would do all the cooking and I would do the hospitality part of it. It would be really tiny, like 2 bedrooms and a 5 table dinner area and very family oriented.

I would also work with rescue animals, especially horses. I quit riding because it was too expensive and I really really miss it.

  • I would open an animal rescue, and also write a book.

  • I'd travel....and be a beach bum.  But not like a dirty beach bum but a 5 star resort beach bum.  I'd also like to work as a book reviewer......but if this was dream land and no one wanted to hire me I'd just review books on a blog or something.
  • I would travel all over the world and see as many major cities as I could in 365 days.

You, Jasmine, and I could open like a triply-big animal rescue, then.
  • Let's do it.
    Large breed, please?
    image
  • Large breed and horses :)

Oh, and rats. I've always wanted to have a rat rescue but I don't think I could emotionally handle it.
  • You would end up keeping all of the rats, and then you'd be the rat lady.
But in imaginary land, we can have a rat house where the rats all get to live permanently and they live forever.
    image
  • I'm down with that then :)

I almost brought home a rat from the store the other day. I'm thinking maybe Christmas...
  • Whenever you are ready. It should feel refreshing, not sad. :)
    image
  • Yeah. The other day I saw one who looked nothing like my old ones and was like "Aw you are so pretty I want to squeeze you!" whereas before it was "You don't look like my ratties".

I'm hesitant though because Diamond has become so affectionate now. I don't want to get rats and have her go back to being anti-social.
  • I would move to either Hawaii or Belize and work at a dive op leading dives everyday :)  If only BF could find a nice cushy telecommute/work from home job, that could be a reality. LOL...but that's not likely

That sounds like a bit of healing :^)
Although that's understandable that you'd be hesitant on account of Diamond.

In imaginary land, I'll take on the small breed section then, of course keeping the kitties far away from the rats. It's the beauty of the triply-big rescue building :^)

Lucky! I wish I could make consistently good cup/cakes, cookies etc but it's just such a crap shoot as to how mine turns out.
  • I would still write, no amount of money would ever change that. But I'd also be a beach bum who traveled the world.

I've always wanted to open up an animal rescue and rehab center like the one I worked at, and my mom has always dreamed of a B&B, so I imagine we could do something together. It's a weird combination, but it would be awesome.
  • well i would want to do something like a dog bakery/doggie daycare, and combine it with rescue...i get told all the time i should have been a vet but i just had it in my mind i would never have gotten into vet school....sigh

if only the wet noses and wagging tails i had at home would pay the bills  :0(

I love to write too. :)

So the B&B could be like, stay the night and take a pet home the next day? hehe
