beach dress???

Hey ladies,

Im new to the DW planning...we went from having 75-100pple at our wedding in July '11 to just FI and I in Feb or March.
 

I was wondering where you are getting your dress from? I have been looking at dresses online but I am not a fan of shopping online....what are some good stores? Do i have any other options?

    I got my dress from David's Bridal. Another option is to look at dresses that are marketed for bridesmaids, and then get it in white, ivory, or whatever color you want.

    I got mine from Davids as well, it's simple yet elegant and I love it.  I had gone to Alfred Angelo and just didn't find what I was looking for there.

    I just went to one of our local shops and got a Maggie Sottero dress.

    A lot of designers carry a "Destination Wedding" line now. Maggie Sottero definitely does. I would book an appt at a local bridal shop & tell them what you are looking for. See what they come up with.
    DB is always good too for options-although I am not the biggest fan of DB.

    Just because you are having a DW doesn't mean you can't get a dress that you LOVE! Even if it's poofy or got lace on it etc.  Find something you are in love with and wear it. Many girls here wear "traditional" wedding dresses to their DW.  HTH

    I want to wear a Maggie Sottero dress so I went to her site and searched for the nearest bridal shop around me and I found one less than 10 minutes away from my job that carries every single style by Maggie. So I'm planning on going at the end of the summer.
    If you don't know who's line you want to use just go to DB or a bridal shop near you and see what options they have, I think that would help at least a bit.

    I think you can find a "beach dress" at just about any wedding dress shop. Most every store carries some more "informal" dresses. And who knows, you might be like me and go in looking for an informal dress and walk out with a traditional dress with a train! Ha!

    Hi and welcome! I got my dress from Group USA. They have a few locations around the country. I would go to their site and search store locations. They have a big variety and reasonable prices.
