Sometimes I really wonder what the heck be on people's mind. If I don't discuss this with somebody I am going to BURST!
Ok let me start with my MOH..... She suggested her stylist to me and I am suppose to go see her tomorrow for a consultation and discuss the hairstyle I plan to wear the day of the wedding. Ok.. I gave her mad kudos for looking out for me on this because I was not sure what stylist I was going to be using. Now here is the kicker: I spoke to the young lady this evening and she briefly told me what I needed to bring and what to expect tomorrow. Ok cool. Well how about she asked me was 10 am an ok time for her to start on my head because my MOH requested to come in at 7 am to get her hair done. WTF!!!!!!!!!! Hold on, why is the MOH getting her hair done before the bride and what the heck is she getting done to her head that is going to take 3 hrs to do? Especially since she is getting her hair sewn in on Saturday. Why couldn't she just do whatever to it that you wanted done and do a simple touch up? I cannot get my hair done at 10 am. The makeup artist will be at the hotel around noon and my ceremony starts at 3. Why do I have to rush around on my wedding day? My MOH for some reason seems to think the day revolves around her. I have already had to curse her out a couple of times reminding her that SHE IS NOT THE DAMN BRIDE! I don't know what to do now. I will have to get up at 7 am so that I can stand a decent chance of getting out of the salon at 10. SMDH
Next, my DOC... We had a 2 1/2 hr meeting with this chick yesterday afternoon. We went over all the details. I even told her about me getting the fresh flowers because I came out better money wise going with the real ones instead of the fake ones (believe it or not). She had plenty of time to speak up but she didn't say anything. But she sends me an email like around 2 am with the following foolishness (and she is charging us $30 to make the centerpieces). But before you get to the email, let me ask you guys this: Isn't her job as the DOC is to make sure my gifts and whatever else she packs up get to my house? Why did she ask me about having one of my guest take the stuff to my house? Who's decorating our hotel room? Me? She didn't even mention anything about doing that either. I thought that is what I was paying her for. This late in the game she is really starting to trip. I am getting frustrated with her too! Below is the email she sent about the flowers. What would you do?
Hi Michelle and Von
I know it may be too late to do anything about it now. But real plants require more maintenance than artificial ones. I usually start making centerpieces 2 days before the wedding because, I'm busy the day before with rehearsal and finalizing any last minute details and on the wedding day there is no time. With your flowers being real, I will not be able to make the centerpieces until the morning of the wedding because most plants have to be kept cool until it is time to use them. I've never worked with real plants, I usually send my clients to a florist because florist know the proper way to care for all different types of plants, they also have large cool places to keep the plants in storage until it is time for them to be used.
