Venue that doesn't require a caterer

I'm on a tight budget so I want to (with the help of my friends and family of course) make my own food for the reception. But, I keep running into venues that require a licensed caterer. Does anyone have suggestions for venues in DMV that do not require a caterer?

Try searching for Cherry Hill Ballroom, I think it's in College Park, but their rental is a little bit on the expensive side, but I know it did say you can even self cater your own food on their website, I just don't remember the website address, but if you search for it, it should come right up

that was the same problem I ran into. Check upscales ballroom. They are located in pg county
