Book ahead of time?

My FI and I will be spending 11 nights in Oahu at the Hilton Hawaiian Village from Oct 13-23. The only thing we currently have pre-booked is a sunset dinner cruise one of the nights. Since we are on one island for so long we're hoping to be able to see everything and still have plenty of time to relax and unwind. My question is, should we book dinners and stuff ahead of time, or can we just play it by ear when we get there? Recommendations welcome!

Re: Book ahead of time?

  • We went to Maui and we booked our sunset cruise and luau in advance but everything else we did when we got there.  We were there for 9 nights so if we wanted to eat dinner somewhere, we had plenty of time to make a reservation.  Of course, if there is anything you absolutely don't want to miss, I'd say book that in advance.
  • your hotel will have people to book stuff for you. You can often get better deals if you wait until you're there but like PP said, if there's something you would really regret if you didn't get to do, book in advance.
  • Thanks ladies! We booked the sunset dinner cruise for our "one week" anniversary. I was hoping to just play the rest by ear and glad to hear that will work fine!
