Where did you register?

Hi ladies,

I'm still some time away from registering, but beginning to think about it.  Where did you register, and if you don't mind, would you recommend it?  I have heard that people have had both positive and negative experiences registering at different places, so I wanted to hear your opinions!
Thanks in advance! :)

We used myregistry.com and Bed Bath and Beyond.  No one bought from the myregistry.com.  Everyone used BBB.  So far my experience has been positive.  Some people have complained about things being discontinued, but I registered only 4 months before the wedding so I didn't run into that problem.

BB&B. We registered about 8 months in advance and had to swap a few items due to things being discontinued. I've heard they have a really good return policy. so far, so good though!

Since FI and I were already living together and have a house full of items from my parents, there wasn't anything we "needed." We registered for our honeymoon on honeyfund.com, which our guests have RAVED about. Basically, they're just giving you cash, but it's a more personal way of doing it. They get to purchase certain "items" for your honeymoon, print out a gift cert with a little love note on it and put it in a card. Our honeymoon was paid for after our shower. We also registered at Target for "wish list" type of items that people could buy if they wanted to get us a gift instead of giving us cash.

We registered at Macy's and Target.  I was very pleased with both.  With Macy's, if you have a Macy's card you can also earn rewards (5% for items bought off your registry and 10% of things you buy with your card).  We got over $100 in reward and were able to put them to a Dyson, which was majorly on sale.  I had returns at both places and there was no problem.  I think you can't go wrong with either place!

    Macy's, BB&B, and Crate & Barrel.

Crate & Barrel only gives you 10% off once in the store and once online once your wedding is over. That's kind of a PITA, especially since that was the registry that was barely touched (and it had all our everyday plates and silverware...). We registered in Nov. because our families wanted to buy off them for Christmas, but C&B changed the design of our salad bowl...didn't find out until I got it home Saturday. Oh well.

Macy's and BB&B have been great so far!!!

Thanks so much for all of the suggestions! I have only bought off of a BBB registry as a guest, so I have pretty limited experience.

FI and I are planning on BBB and Macy's as well.  We are making a list of things we want so that we don't do a ton of impulse scanning! We were thinking of starting to register around Novemberish.

We ended up registering in February for our July wedding. Bed Bath and Beyond was our main registry. We did register for a few things at Sears and then our dishes at Pfaltzgraff. Everyone bought stuff off of the BBB registery it seems. They've been really nice to deal with in the store near us. The only bummer is that you only get a discount on unpurchased items once in the store and once online.
