JP - Invite Etiquette

Hi Ladies,
Question...I was wondering, is it proper etiquette to invite your JP to the wedding reception?  What about the rehearsal dinner?  Our JP is someone we don't know (matter of fact, we haven't officially met her yet-just phone calls and emails).  I understand inviting your pastor/priest/rabbi etc, but if it's someone you don't even know?  Also, our rehearsal is going to be at the place where our rehearsal dinner is.  Does that change anything?

    since no one's commented yet, there was a thread about this a few months ago. i think the upshot was that you are supposed to invite the JP to the reception (not sure about the rehearsal dinner), but look for the thread to see the discussion b/c i don't think everyone agreed.

    Yes, you should invite the JP to the recpetion.  90% he wont go at all, but it is proper ettiquette to invite him.  Not to the rehearsal though....
