Workout Accountability : Friday

Good Morning Ladies and TGIF!

Kempo was not my friend yesterday, but FI and I pushed through it and then splurged on some Trader Joe's spinach tortellini.  I stayed within my calories (actually, a bit under) but didn't like having to add all those carbs to my tracker.  Oh well. 
Today is the rest/stretch day, and I have happy hour with coworkers, so I'm hoping to have one glass of wine, then fish and veggies for dinner.

How are you all doing?  Anything fun planned for the weekend?

  • I have my first alterations appointment on Saturday and I'm really nervous! I've been working out on and off with all of my belly issues which means overall I've been working out way less than I always do. I'm hoping everything fits ok and then once I really start delving into 1/2 training that my body won't undergo much change.
  • My kitty ended up needing to go to the vet yesterday so I had to go to my parents' as my kitties are staying there.  Took her to the vet (she has an irritated eye, but just watching it), and didn't get home until later so no workout yesterday.  Boo.

  • I was bad yesturday and ran 2 miles rather than the elliptical. My whole body was just not having that run.

    Today is swim.

    Tommorrow is bike in the morning. And a 4 mile race in the evening.

  • Did a run this morning already, just over 2 miles. Might have time for something else too..
    Lobster now that you mention Kenpo, I might just have to do that! It was not fun the first couple of times, but it really grew on me and it is my favorite of the P90X cardio workouts!

  • lbarr - are the belly issues improving at all?? I was super nervous for my first dress fitting too.

    lobsters - mmmm spinach tortellini. that sounds amazing! we are getting a trader joe's here in a few months. i can't wait!!

    This morning FI and I ran to his gym (it's a mile each way) and lifted. We did shoulders and back. I really like lifting with FI though I don't think he likes running to the gym that much lol.

  • Good morning & happy friday!

    Last night I went to the park with FI and played some disk golf, then we went on a short walk after we finished the course. I'm feeling a little burned out on the gym so enjoying the beautiful day yesterday was a nice break.

    Tonight FI works late, so I WILL be going to the gym for some cardio and more importantly weights (I haven't done weights at all this week, I need to pick up the slack).

  • Morning Ladies!

    This morning we did some abs & took spin.  Tomorrow we're going to work out early, and I'm going to get a spray tan for the first time.  I figure this will help me see how my skin reacts to it and how long it lasts long before the big day.

    So depressed I weighed myself today and gained a pound, boooo. I guess it's just one of those weeks and need to try harder this week. Need to stick to my WW and C25K and hope for the best. Please send your good vibes my way, lol.

    Im of camping all weekend which was a bit of food stress for me but I think we packed enough healthy stuff to calm me down and make me feel like I wont be blowing my entire diet while away. My body reacts poorly to junk now so I have good warning signs if Im overdoing it.

    Fingers crossed we dont get rained on!

  • Hi everyone.  Back on the board after a week off.  Went to a bachelorette party last weekend and just didn't do well at. all.  Combined w/ a gain last Friday, I was just not feeling it.  This past week was pretty bad with both eating and exercise, but managed to lose half a pound this week anyway, and I can feel my motivation returning.  FI is away this weekend, which always helps me stick with my calories better, and I get bored, so I go on lots of walks!  Went to step class last night at the gym, today's plan is a long walk at lunch, and then another walk once I get home.  Repeat all weekend.   Have a great day, everyone!
  • Started Day 3 of Insanity: Asylum today!! Definitely a nice break from all the cardio I've been doing with Insanity! Still kicked my butt but my dress is looking better and better on me these days!!!
  • Good morning all! My fiance and I are heading to the gym this morning. Probably going to workout on the elliptical trainer as well as strength training the upper body.

    This afternoon we are going to the pool with my sisters :D Looking forward to swimming and getting my tan on !

  • Morning everyone! Happy Friday!

    Last night I was pleased with myself, we were out for my friend's birthday and I didn't over-indulge! I had the ginger teriyaki rice bowl with chicken, and I only ate half (actually listened to my body to tell me when it was full, looks like my eating out skills have improved!). I drank a few carbonated waters, and then water the rest of the night. We did eat dessert, but instead of ordering the brownie that I LOVE from that restaurant (but is 1500 calories) we ordered the "bite of brownie" which is about a 1/4 of the size, and I only ate 1/3 of it and FI ate the rest. I am very happy with that. Today, it helped me achieve a 1 pound loss from last week.

    Yesterday I ran 4km in preparation for the evening's festivities, so today my leggies are resting!

    The weekend FI and his family are out of town (I can't go because I've gotta work) so I've got the house to myself! Eating well is always easier when I'm by myself, and I should have plenty of time outside of work to get a run or two in. Gotta get my winter tires changed over to my summer tires this weekend.. that is my main goal!

    Hi Ladies!

    This is my first time posting on this board after introducing myself.Thanks again for the inspiration!

    Yesterday was a rest day because I had a graduation to attend. This morning before work my dog and I ran the 1 mile down my road (we are the last house on a dead end on the top of a very high hill) and then walked the mile back up. If felt great but I've been a little light-headed since.

    I use MFP and eating has been great, my body definitely tells me when its not happy with what I"m putting in it.

    Speaking of, lbarr I've had horrible experiences with stomach issues too. Finally, after seeing a specialist for over a year they determined I needed to have my appendix out! Plus, stress can really throw you for a loop. Are you extra stressed? Perhaps your body is reacting to the stress, I know thats how my body tells me to slow down and try to relax.
  • Hi! I have been loving this board and check in to help keep me motivated that I was doing so much better this week at eating and working out. Yesterday I went rock climbing though and they had a slack line set up( kind of like tight rope walking about two feet off the ground) and so of course I wanted to try it out. I ended up slipping and twisting my ankle so now I won't be able to work out for a while which is really disappointing. I hope that ill manage to keep my diet extra good and somehow find the motivation again to start insanity back up. It's funny how when you can't workout how much more you want to do it lol

  • Got my swim on today while my car was getting serviced.  Thank goodness for friends who will pick you up and bring you to the pool.  Eating is going great!  I'm steadily losing my 1/2lb/week.  Which feels really slow, but I am ok with.  I have no looming deadline in the near future and I know what comes off slow will be easier for me to maintain once I hit the goal!

  • I wasn't able to get in a workout today... I had an exam to cram for and take in the morning. Frown Afterwards, I had to rush home and pack for a weekend of housesitting. Hopefully I'll get in a walk tomorrow..
