Cathedral to Wax Museum

Hey everybody, I was wondering if anyone had any good ideas for getting guests from the St. Louis Cathedral to the Wax Museum (on Conti).  We plan on taking a carriage, but for guests that cannot walk the 7 blocks, what might my options be?  I really don't want to have to get 10+ carriages for all these people as that might get pricey quickly.  Has anyone ever rented any kind of large van/taxi to bring guests from one place to another?  TIA

Do you have a lot of guests that can not walk 7 blocks?  If it is only a few, you could rent or hire a 12 passenger van.  My Uncle is renting one @ the airport when he arrives to help us transport some immediate family to/from airport, hotel, venue, etc.  Also, we have hired a 12 passenger van through American Luxury Limos to take the wedding party back to the hotel after the wedding.

I'm sure either option is cheaper than the carriages...but if you would need 10+ carriages, that sounds like a lot of people...I guess you may need to look into buses?

If it were me personally...I'd skip the carriages altogether, get a brass band, and do a 2nd line to the Wax!  Then, get a van or mini bus only for the people that are physically unable to make the walk.  I guess that's just b/c I LOVE 2nd lines and wedding pics of 2nd lines always look so awesome :)

I'd do a second line and perhaps get just one large van for people who really can't walk (really old, disabled, etc).  Most people should be able to handle a second line for 7 SHORT blocks

Thanks for the tips guys.  I have very elderly grandparents, aunts and uncles, and a few guests that are disabled.  Probably about 12-15 that would not be able to make the walk.  The van idea sounds good as does the second line!

Oh, btw, American Luxury Limos is awesome. I forgot to mention them in my vendor list, but they were able to accommodate us at the very last minute and were super prompt, clean, friendly, etc.
