Dressed to the Nines Review

I went to Dressed to the Nines with my bridesmaids for thier dresses, and the whole experience was so bad that I wanted to warn others. We found a dress all of my girls finally agreed on (this wasn't an easy process). The owner brought the dress up front and took my info. We didn't commit to the dress on the spot b/c a couple girls couldn't come that day, and I just wanted to check with them first. I called the following Moday to tell her we were definitely going w/ that dress, and I found out she didn't write the dress down for me!! IShe barely apologized and just made a ton of excuses. I  gave her the designer and style #, but for some reason she couldn't find it, so I had to describe what it looks like. She said she thought she found it. I sent my sister in to check a few days alter since she lives around the corner, and she said the place was completely disorganized. The woman wrote down the style # after I spoke to her, but wrote it down wrong, so my sister had to go search for the dress. She then wanted my sister to tell her which color I wanted. My sister called me b/c she wasn't 100% sure which shade of purple I had decided on. I picked out a swatch in the store, but wasn't sure of the name. I told the woamn I thought it was eggplant and she told me eggplant wasn't purple, it was almost black. She was really confusing and annoying me b/c I had picked out a color I was happy with, but she didnt record it. In the end we are not getting the dresses from her. She also requires a 100% deposit on the dress when you order them, and her alteration fees are about $170 for bridesmaid dresses!!! Save your time and go somewhere else!

Re: Dressed to the Nines Review

  • I went to Dressed to the Nines when I was shopping for a wedding dress.  I also had a negative experience.  They basically had me changing in front of my mom and we were really unimpressed with their dress selection. Nothing seemed professional there at all.

I Do I Do was a far superior store for wedding gowns and my experience was amazing. They are so professional and really know how to treat customers. I only wish they sold BM dresses there too!

  • I also did not like that store- I just found the woman to be really snobby and everything was overpriced. We ended up getting the BM dresses from Nonchalance, but then they closed down :( Luckily we had our dresses before that happened, butI felt so bad for everyone that didnt

WOW.  I had a lovely experience there.  Although I didn't buy my dress there, it was one of  the most enjoyable places I shopped.  I wasn't rushed.  I wasn't pressured.  The lady was so kind.  The dressing room left a bit to be desired & the store was kind of cramped.

The store does carry a lot of dresses for older brides so maybe that is why I felt happy b/c it was one of the few places where they didn't assume I was the MOB.

I'm sorry you had a bad experience & agree there is no excuse for not writing down the numbers.
  • I had a horrible experience there too... the owner actually ordered the wrong Bridesmaid dresses for my friends wedding and since they came in a week before the wedding we had no choice but wear them!  And the owner was so snobby and didnt care at all!!
  • My twin sister is getting married, and we found the place on Google and figured, since we're in Morristown, why not?

Worst experience. My sister and I picked out the dresses to try on, they barely helped. Then the lady didn't help my sister put on the dresses, and we felt like we were imposing on their time by being there. They barely helped at all and the lady who ran the place yelled at myself and another bridesmaids for looking at the dresses. Oh and the dresses were gross. It's obvious they haven't cleaned them in years, and that several people ahve tried them on.

The entire party felt that they didn't even plan for us to buy a dress, and even though there were one or two dresses she liked, they did not care.

I highly reccomend that no-one goes there, it's not woth it.
