Registering for Shower

Did any of your register for your bridal shower? Specifically, lingerie? 

My issue is I am very large up top. So large, that only certain cuts/styles of lingerie fit. I am worried that if I do get lingerie, none of it will fit and I will have to return it all. 

Is it better to just hope for the best, or make a wish list of items I like in the appropriate size and have that included in the shower invitation?

    I was only given two pieces of clothing at my showers: one jammie set that wasn't cup-specific, and a nightie, which came from my mama that she bought for me with me. Everybody else bought off my registry for household stuff. One friend did want to get me lingerie so she just got me a giftcard to VS so she would be sure that it was something that I liked that would definitely fit :)

    So, after having said all of that, no, I would not register for lingerie or create a lingerie wish list. Unless, of course, it is a lingerie shower, in which case the hostess can simply include your size in the invitation.

    I didn't register for any but my BMs asked me for my sizes for my lingerie shower so that they could put it on the invite. I typically don't like to be given things that I can't try on first like that because even w/ sizes, different cuts and styles fit people differently but my friends wanted to throw one so I'm just shutting up and hoping for the best! :)

    I wouldn't most people will include a gift receipt these days, so I wouldn't worry its not like if you return/exchange it they would ever see it.

    I would specifially ask my bridesmaids not to throw a lingerie shower or get me lingerie and if others ask them, tell them it is not preferred.

    I only got a robe and slip and one lingerie item from my mom, who had me try it on after the shower to see if it fit cuz she would take it back if it didn't. Unless you think ppl will be getting that, I don't think it will be a big deal. That seems more like a bachelorette party gift! lol But I wouldn't register for any lingerie.

    I told my hostess either was fine. I hate buying lingerie for myself because it is so expensive for the 3 minutes I wear it. =) So at my shower I got half and half from my registry and lingerie. The only thing that sucked was so people took the tags off and/or didn't include a gift recepit so I couldn't exchange if I hated it or it didn't fit. I was lucky that I am stuck with only 1 thing that I couldn't return because it was too big though.
