okay I have decided to just paste it here..........

I checked my pms today and had 2 letters from who ever this is. What is it? Its it some ort of spam am confused

Here it is...

Hello,

I am writing to you on behalf of Lollipop Workshop, a small artisanal online shop of which you are already aware. We have recently signed a deal with Lollipop Workshop to sell several of their designs exclusively, in a commercial manner. As part of the agreement, we are also handling any issues of copyright infringement against their copyrighted works.

We were recently informed of your public Knot posts regarding Lollipop Workshop's handmade wedding cake toppers. Unfortunately, you are in violation of several offenses. If you would like to use an image belonging to either Lollipop Workshop or one belonging to our company, you must first request permission in writing, which you did not. The pictures you have posted must immediately be removed/deleted from the threads to which you have posted them.

You have also violated a term in the US Copyright & Intellectual Property Infringement Law by posting your version of instructions on how to construct a copyrighted design belonging to an original artist, as well as posting your own photographs of the duplicated design. The instructions and your photographs must also be removed from all threads to which they were posted.

We take copyright infringement very seriously, and while to our current knowledge, it appears that you are not intending to sell similar wedding cake toppers, you have violated the copyright in which Lollipop Workshop holds on this design simply by making what you are doing with it public. The moment you publicly duplicate another's copyrighted works, you immediately set yourself up to have legal action taken against you.

While we are sure that this is most likely an honest mistake, it is still quite disrespectful and dishonest to replicate any original artist's work. We do realize that it is sometimes much easier and less expensive to re-create something which you yourself may not be able to afford - D.I.Y. is a good thing - however, you must not make public what your intentions are. It is unfortunate that copyright infringement runs rampant throughout this and most industries, but luckily when an artist's works are protected, especially by a larger company, copyright infringement is never overlooked.

Please accept this letter as a friendly warning and remove all photographs, instructions, and other evidences of copyright infringement from this and all public sites you may have posted them to.

okay so I finally figured out what they were talking about and deleted it just to be safe. WOW!! I simply copied and pasted from a google photo. I guess beware girls. Some people have no lives. I got this email on the april 15th for the first time and posted the original post on march 20. That had to take alot of digging or a snitch hmmmmm Also I have full instructions on how to make MY original design way better than the other cake topper if you want them. LOL

What the h? I think that that's a really good way to make sure that NOBODY wants to go buy their product, if that's how they are doing business. I sure wouldn't, after knowing that they've freaked out on a bride like that...

omg! i really can't believe that! you can't copy and paste their pics to show your inspiration!? they are probably butthurt because you didn't buy from them and you made them look bad because yours is better... get a fing life lollipop guild! or whatever the h your name is!

Umm...wow. I mean, sure your design was similar, but obviously not the same. Not to mention, yeah, sorry, people, but you wern't the first ones to come up with the idea! To the person who sent her the PM - we don't see PMs unless we're informed we have one or we happen to look on our PM area. But hey, they gotta protect their slice of the $40 billion dollar pie, right? Well, I know where I won't be shopping at least.

I know crazy huh. I got it from fake knottie cannonfalls.All I did was type clothespin doll caketopper in google images and about half that comes up is theirs but there are tons more made by many artists.Not to mention my grandmother made clothespin dolls. Actually I am sure her generation first came up with the idea. SO maybe I will write them a formal letter of copywrite infringement against my grandmother. LOL Ugh This made me so mad. Okay Okay i get it but really who on the knot forums hasnt done this. I have the sh*test luck lately.

oh if you just google it there is also directions on how to make one on craft stylish.com

and she says something about me not being able to afford it. The lolipop workshop on etsy isnt even open and hasnt been since I found them. So I wasnt even given the option to buy.
