    hah.. soooooo..... yeeeeaaaaahh... I'll copy and paste what I wrote on my month board.
    If you recall I have two dresses. One that I am eh on, and one that is not white so Fi has been blah about it (and now I've lost some weight and it's too big anyway).

     Fi sat me down yesterday. He said, "Honey. We're going to sit down and pick out a sash together right now. Buy it right now. And when we are back in town after leave (we're going on a 10 day vaca to backpack and to california starting this Thursday :) ) we are going to go wedding gown shopping and I'm going to buy you a new gown if you find one that you love [that we can buy off the rack right there]. I don't care what color it is it doesn't have to be white. I'll stop being dumb about a silly color and we are gong to find you a gown. If we use the sash on this dress, or on the original, or not at all, I don't care. This is our plan."

    So that is the plan as of now. I ordered the sash that we picked out that may make me love my dres much more (I feel like the wider width will make me look a little more proportional). Complicated with 41 days left until the [maybe] wedding? Yes.

    the other dress isn't ivory. It's an off-white that DOES (in his defense) look a little yellow next to his dress whites. But I was in LOVE with the fit and he totally killed my dress mojo... It's a borrowed dress though so I don't want to have alterations done on someone else's gown which makes it a moot point anyway. :P

    also, oh em gee I love your new siggy so so much!

    Oh because I was going to tell you that Alfred Angelo gives a military discount. I THINK it was you that said my dress could have been your dream dress in a thread. I might be wrong.

    But anyway, Alfred Angelo gives a 20% military discount.

    I LOVE YOUR SASH. It is BEAUTIFUL!

    How does that work? Do you have to go TO one of their stores (idk if they even have their own stores) or can you buy one of their dresses from any place that sells them and get it there?

    Hmmmm! Good question!

    I just looked it up and they have their own store in Tukwila, WA. I have no idea where that is but it's close to Seattle.

    Anyway, take in your military ID and you're golden. Plus, I only paid $450 for that dress so it wouldn't be TERRIBLE price wise if you wanted another dress.

    Good luck!  I can't imagine having second thoughts on the dress the month before the wedding - so stressful!  It sounds like your FI is being a perfect angel about the whole thing, which is awesome.

    P.S.  Not to threadjack, but ggirl - I LOVE your siggy!  And it makes me happy that you did the double flower - hip and hair - since that's what I want to do and my Mom keeps telling me it will look over-done.  I sent her your pic, I hope you don't mind, to prove her that it looks gorgeous!

    hah well the second thoughts came about 6 months before the wedding.. they just haven't ceased :P Thanks, I'm sure we'll figure it out. It's hard for me though, because I tend to think more practically so I feel guilty wanting a different dress when I already have one that's paid for and altered.  -_-

    alfred angelo gives a 20% military discount? Through purchase on website or bridal store orders? My FI just landed from Iraq and is at Ft Hood for another two months and I was being superstitious about looking for my dress till he was back in the States

    It's al their actual stores but they have them all around the country. My dress was already on sale so I didn't use it but I could have if FI went and showed his Military ID.
