Hi Ladies! I'm back in NY after a wonderful wedding and honeymoon. Thanks for all of your help during the planning process- you helped me find some great vendors and gave me tons of great advice. I'm trying to get some pics up, but can't seem to get it straight. (Anyone know how to link pics from my FB page here?)
Here are some reviews (I'll be posting about the embarrassing debacle of the Rehearsal Dinner in a separate post). I apologize for the length of this:
Venue: Patriot Hills, A+++++. I must preface this by admitting that I am a perfectionist, PITA. PH, led by Gina Kelly, gave us the perfect wedding. Everything was beyond my expectations (which were set high after reading the reviews here) and better than I dreamed possible. The ceremony was amazing and went off without a hitch; cocktail hour is still being talked about by our guests, and I don’t even have the words to describe the reception besides perfect and ideal. The food was amazing. My father had an Italian restaurant and dislikes any food he doesn’t prepare himself. He has a particular disdain for any mass produced food. He is still raving about the food and insists the chef prepared the best crêpes he ate in his life.
Photographer, Bill Wang: A. Bill treated my guests as if they were his own family. If you have Bill at your wedding, something special is going to happen. I’m like a kid at Christmas right now waiting for my facebook preview. I’ll post an additional review when I see the finished product.
Band, Eileen Fogarty and the Very Best: A. Amazing. If you’re interested in hiring them, def check them out as a 5 piece band, not when they play gigs as a threesome. They covered Irish and Italian classics. Our family and friends were so impressed and danced all night.
Florist, Flowers by Jo Ann: A. Jo Ann did our ceremony and reception flowers. She provided everything we asked, and more. She is truly able to bring a vision to life. Trust her; she’ll get you exactly what you’re looking for.
Cake, Homestyle Bakery: A. They did my RD and reception cake. The cake was so good that Danny and I had to bust into our top layer 364 days early.
Videographer, Elliot Lobel: A. I’ll post a review when I get the video, but so far, all is great. Elliot was on time, had a great personality, and carried himself like a pro. (Elliot is a college student at SUNY Purchase; you’d never guess this wasn’t his full-time gig).
Makeup, Christine Alia from Color Makeup Studio:A. She is so easy to work with and did a great job on me and my BMs. Punctual and professional.
Hair, Peppe Ramon Salon, Ashley Stern: A. I was so happy with my hair. Ashley did a tremendous job and has the patience of a saint.
Dress, veil, shoes and alterations, Camille la Vie: A. Rosa and Irene were dolls to work with. Everything was done perfectly and on time.
Invitations, Linda Zec (invitations4sale.com): A. So easy to work with and a great product at a discounted price
Limos, Silverstar: A. Prompt, professional and clean. Couldn’t ask for anything more.
Shuttle: West Point Tours: A. Prompt, professional and clean. Couldn’t ask for anything more.
Uplighting: The DJ Company, A-. Ryan was very helpful and the uplighting was beautiful. The minus is b/c the office was a bit difficult to work with. There were some issues with my check being cashed but not logged in and then the same issues resurfaced the week before my wedding and my contract was also missing.
