2yr Engagement Party?

My fiance and I recently got engaged but our wedding won't actually be for another 2yrs after he finishes grad school....when should we have our engagement party???!!!

    soon, not in two years.

    my friend has been engaged for 5 years (we were still in college at the time, decided to both graduate, save up, buy a house, get jobs etc etc before paying for a wedding), but their engagement party was right after they got engaged (which btw, she's FINALLY getting married this june haha!)

    Whenever the host wants to throw it (It is really rude and tacky to throw your own E party). But sooner rather than later would be better. Additionally, everyone invited must be invited to the wedding. So keep the guest list small because relationships can change when the wedding is two years away.
