Alright ladies, get out your to-do lists! Almost all of us are at less than 6 months to go (or will be by the end of next week), so it's crunch time! I want to know what you've done!

PAST WEEK

I had a pretty productive week! I FINALLY got the honeymoon booked which is such a big relief. I also picked out my wedding band! Super excited about it- it's prong set with 5 round diamonds on top (.25 total carat). I should be able to order it on Monday- they needed to call the manufacturer on the next business day to find out the exact price.

NEXT WEEK

My mom and I are going wedding crazy on Friday and Saturday. Hopefully I can get this entire list done.

-2 florists appointments (Fri and Sat)

-2 invitation places to go to (Fri and Sat)

-help my mom pick out her dress (Friday)

-look for shoes (Sat)

- scheduled my first dress fitting (July 12)

- schedule the RD

- schedule the cake tasting

Contacted artist about invitations and other stationary

Contacted artist about my ring. Still waiting to hear back.

Scheduled food tasting at our venue for May

Showed the venue to my sister and spent a lot of time discussing wedding

Next week:

Make a final decision about colors.

Follow up with artist about my ring

Order invitations, etc

Possibly order hair accessories and jewelry

Ikea trip planned for next weekend to look at vases and frames for our "guest book"

Add m ore of my current music to reception playlist, download more music

This week: Bought the tablecloths Bought the cupcake topper! Bought more decorations Next week: Send the check for the officiant I said I would last week! Start working on sewing the OOT bags that I said I would do last week!!! Oops.

Last week: didn't think I was that productive until I made the list! Woohoo!

- Tried makeup brand before buying for wedding day

- bought hair tool and makeup setting spray for wedding day

- purchased FI's chain to hold his ring around his neck while at work (haven't seen it in person so when it comes in on Tuesday we'll see the quality)

- decided on main parts of ceremony music (processionals and recessional)

- VP order of first batch of programs (free rack cards come in 50's so will need 3 orders that I'll space out as I need other things from VP).

- Huge chunk of FI's boudoir photobook is designed

This week:

- Hunt down BFF/MOH to get rest of my boudoir pics without causing a fight between us

- Maybe start chalkboard glasses

- Don't do too much wedding stuff since I have an exam next week and should be studying :-(

Last week
-return address stamp that I ordered came in (gonna use this for the invitations)

-FI's wedding band came in!!! I'm so excited about this, I had him try it on and seeing that ring on his finger made me feel so happy and that all this planning was going to be worth it in the end. I can't wait until he can wear it all the time!

-ordered fingerprint tree guestbook

Next week
-send deposit to rental company for tent, chairs, etc.
-look for my wedding band
-order runners, napkins, overlay for reception
-DIY projects if supplies come in

I actually had a semi-productive week!!

Last week:
-Sent STDs on Monday and everyone got them by Friday. People have been commenting on how much they love them, which is nice.

-Decided on BM dresses--going for mismatched short, gray dresses. Any dress they want that is gray and not metallic. Balls are in their courts, now! That's a load off.

-Looked at stationary, found some invites we liked.
-Farmed off cake to my mother. She's going to talk to some bakers and do some tastings for me, which will REALLY help since I'm planning from two states away.
-e-mailed caterer, who we booked back in October, to say "Um, should we like meet and finalize a menu? Talk about linens? Something?" Ha, I'm so awkward.
-bought some thank-you notes, since I checked our registry and someone bought us something already! I can't believe it, since we're still 5 months away, but my parents have some very generous friends. Figured I should have thank-yous on hand.

This week:
-Call florist and make an appt. for the next time I'm in town.
-Check in with my mom about cakes
-Maybe follow up with the caterer?
-Get FI to look at some tuxes/formalwear
-continue looking at invitations and maybe order the ones we liked

As I mentioned the other day I have really been struggling with colors for some reason. I don't lack for inspiration, if anything I have too much! This was made worse by the realization that the flower wholesalers I planned on dealing with didn't have the flower I wanted in the correct color.

After being up all night with visions of flower arrangements in my head I have decided to take a week off from thinking about the wedding colors. This means a few things will be scrapped from my to do list this week but I value my sanity more.

I'll still do the color neutral items (ring, music, etc) and may try to find a few others things like that to work on. I've been putting the ceremony draft off for a while now!

past week:
-got our rings in. dan loves him but i'm not set on mine so we might do an exchange. there used to be a matching band for my e-ring and we talked to the company and they said they still have some even though it had been discontinued.
-put in our requests for the tasting.
-put my priest in contact with the church (he's coming from my college church, so there's extra paperwork to do)
-turned in our affadavits (finally, i've had them since august!)

this week:
-tasting on friday (plus a day off work!)
-maybe calling to get our baptism and confirmation certificates?

i'm pretty much done with my march to-do list at this point. i'd like to do our ring stuff but that's in dan's hands since he's the one who ordered mine, etc.

Oh dear... I'm reading your lists thinking I look like a complete doofus here.

BUT...I did go to the jewellers on Saturday to find out how long will it take to make my band, although couldn't get a quote because that depends on them assesing the ring etc - so will find out in May. Also, I'm going back to my country this week to get the no impediment certificate.

Ok I need to start "watching" these threads so I don't have to go searching for my list! lol

So last week, I said:

"- Make final adjustments to the guest lists with FI
- Work on more pomanders
- 4th Wed prep class this week
- Do a walk around at the church just to be 100% sure about decor
- Discuss RD plans with FI and our parents
- Sort the wedding craft bins (I've collected so much and can't find anything! lol)
- Work on labels for favours
- Work on blog (I keep meaning to get this going...)"

And uhm... I barely did any of it :P
We had to cancel our wedding prep (FI worked overtime on Sat) so that also meant I wasn't able to do a walk around of the church. I also never tackled the craft bins - bad girl! haha

Sooo what I DID do last week:
- started my blog (and got it up and running!)
- made my memorial candle
- bought my table card holder and made a sample
- reworked my invitations
- ordered a custom rubber stamp
- ordered envelopes
- worked on my program design
- discussed the RD with FI (now to talk his mother)
- reserved a screen/projector for reception
- did a new mock up of centerpiece

This Week:
- work on candles for centerpieces
- design labels for syrup bottles
- try to assemble "happy tears" envelopes
- work on pomanders
- get FI to spray paint an easle and program holder
- call David's Bridal about the FG dress
- order mini clothespins (for place cards)
- gather missing addresses
