We're having a small wedding (less than 50 people), about 5 hours away from where I live and where my fiance's family lives. My family is out of state and is flying in for it. It's basically a destination wedding. It's just going to be parents, grandparents, siblings, and nephews/nieces.
My family is having a very informal reception/open house a month later because my *huge* family (aunts/uncles/cousins/etc.) wants to come celebrate. I have a feeling that his mom will do the similar thing where we live, for aunts/uncles/cousins/etc. So our small intimate wedding is turning into 3 events, but that's a separate issue
So I'm trying to figure out how to handle registering. I know I want to register for a few things at Crate & Barrel. I also wanted to register at one other place: either Bed Bath & Beyond or Macy's. I like that BBB has coupons and would be cheaper for guests, but the more I looked into it a lot of the brands we want are excluded from the coupons anyway.
Is 2 registries too much? 3? Neither one of us has been married before, but we've lived together for 7 years and own a house. Despite that, we could honestly use some basics.
ETA: Thanks, I think I will definitely limit it at 2 registries. Now the question is: Bed Bath & Beyond or Macy's? I know it will depend on the items we want, but assume they are all available at both stores...
