Transportation Help

Hello my Delaware Knotties!!!  I don't write too often on this board, but I lurk often and you have provided me with some excellent vendors!

I am getting married next September at Mount Harmon Plantation in Cecilton, MD.  The closest hotel is 20 minutes away in Middletown and we definetly don't want people drinking and driving.  My FI and I want to rent some sort of transporation to drive everyone to and from the wedding.  We are having about 120 people (although not everyone is staying) and would like to make as little trips as possibe.  I don't think we could rent a trolly, but if anyone has any information on any recommendations on some sort of mass transportation, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you ladies!!

a fun option is always to rent school buses from the local district.they shouldn't be too expensive & it'd make a cute photo op ^_^

Like PP said, school buses are probably a really good option.  And I can tell you this, trolleys are going to be EXPENSIVE.

See that was my original idea, but it doesn't really go with the feel of our wedding.  I would love it, but it seems a little too casual for what we have so far.  But we do need to abide be the Almighty Budget!

i think if ur just worried about it matching the wedding, don't ^_^ it's likely that some of ur guests won't even remember what they rode in to get to the wedding. not to mention it's not like the bus will be in ur reception room XD

but if u want other options, there's also super big vans u can rent from car rental places.

I think this is one of those things that you are overthinking.  If anything, the guests will just be grateful that you provide transportation so there would be no drinking and driving- and that is what you will be remembered for.  Transportation is not one of those things that needs to fit with your "theme".

if you are really concerned about it, you could look into a 23-pass charter bus (try Delaware Express or Eagle), but you are going to pay A CRAP LOAD.  To give you an idea, for my friend's bachelorette party, we rented the 13 pass mini bus and it was over $350 for 3 hours.  And the minute you mention wedding, prices shoot thru the roof, especially on transportation.

If you are on a budget, your best bet is a schoolbus.
