affordable downtown hotel for guests?

I thought this would be an easier task than it's turned out to be.  Maybe it's just the point I'm at, but....I'm looking for suggestions for affordable yet still really nice hotels to get blocks of rooms at for my guests.  Nearly all of our friends and family are coming from out of state and will need accommodations for at least 2 nights.  Our wedding is near Sloans Lake, but I think guests would like to be downtown--in the 16th Street area.  I'd appreciate any ideas!  TIA

    When I looked at room blocks I got decent quotes from The Warwick Hotel, Comfort Inn near Brown Palace, The QVC Hotel (I think that's the name) and Crowne Plaza.  I'll admit though, I got a good deal at Crowne Plaza because I have a friend who works in the group sales department.
