Our wedding was on July 24, 2010 on Fort Hood. Every thing went very smoothly, in part because we had some really great vendors.
Flowers, The Glass Fountain (Rebekah Glass, Cedar Park): The flowers for our wedding really went beyond my expectations. I don't know too much about flowers so I couldn't give Rebekah a lot of specifics on what I wanted. I just had the colors, a few flower suggestions and that I wanted a woodsy feel to them. Rebekah was very easy to work with and completely understood what I was looking for. The bouquets were gorgeous! Even my aunt (who actually does know a lot about flowers) thought that they were exceptional. They held up really well too. It was extremely hot on the day of my wedding but the flowers looked fresh and pretty from the ceremony to the end of the reception (We did make sure to put the flowers in water before the ceremony and at the reception though).
A+
Cake, Texas Howdy Bakery (Dora Eaton, Salado): I loved our wedding cake. Instead of a regular wedding cake, we had individual heart-shaped sponge cakes filled with strawberries and cream and covered in powdered sugar. I brought a picture from a magazine into Dora and she had no problem copying it. She was very easy to work with and her cakes were very reasonably priced. She also gave us a military discount, which is always appreciated. She was very enthusiastic about everything and working with her was a great experience. The cakes themselves were really delicious and we got several compliments on them. We plan on buying the same cake from her again for our one year anniversary since our cake wasn't the type that you can safely freeze and eat.

Photographer, Kay's Photography (Kay Taylor, Belton): Working with Kay was really fun. She shot our engagement photos, bridal photos and wedding and each time, it was a really enjoyable experience. Her prices are average for a wedding photographer, so she's not cheap, but her photos turn out amazing! It took her about two to three weeks to get a session fully posted and the ordering process was relatively simple. If I had another event to do, I would use her again.

DJ, DJ Muscle (Killeen): DJ muscle did a good job of keeping the music going and could change gears quickly if we had to change something in the reception schedule (which we had to do a few times that night). He didn't play all the songs on our Must Play list, but his selection of music was very good. Price wise, he was definitely the best we found in the area.

Decorations, Confetti Rentals (Harker Heights): The people at Confetti Rentals were very enthusiastic and had a lot of ideas. I was excited about working with them, but on the day of the wedding, there were a few mistakes made. The fabric that they hung up in the reception area was supposed to be placed so that it covered plaques on one particular wall. The fabric was placed in the wrong spot though, leaving the plaques uncovered. Also, a green spotlight was supposed to shine on the fabric but the spotlight they set up was just regular, with no green color. Then, they showed up an hour late for clean up. The reception area itself looked beautiful with all the decorating they did, but the for the price, the mistakes made were really unacceptable.
