XP Ushers

Are any of you ladies having ushers? Is it still common or more of an older tradition? My FI and I just started thinking about it and it never occurred to me to have them. Do they come to the rehearsal dinner? Are they technically part of the WP?

I didn't have ushers because we had a standing ceremony, but I do think they're still common. If you want them, you can, but you don't have to. I *would* count them as the bridal party and invite them to the rehearsal & rehearsal dinner.

We are having Ushers and they are part of the wedding party.

We had ushers last year at our wedding. We had 2 of DH's friends as ushers. We didn't have them as part of the"official" wedding party but they were invited to the rehearsal/rehearsal dinner and we got them gifts, as well.
