Mind if I whine?

So I'm offically entering panic mode! haha First off, our rsvp deadline is in 2 days and more than HALF of our guest list haven't sent them in! I will never get the hold up on rsvps... they are stamped and addressed people! hehe

Next, I emailed to check on my hotel block and found out only 8 rooms have been booked. We need to hit 15 rooms to get the special rate and so me and FI get our room for free. Reeeally hoping people get on that too.

Also, we met with the reception/hall coordinator this weekend for our tasting and she's become quite unenjoyable to work with. She was short and snippy, didn't remember any of the details of our wedding, etc. Thank goodness I have the notes she wrote from our first meeting because I think she's going to try and stiff us on all free upgrades she offered!

ok, phew. I feel a bit better now I vented about all that! Smile

That was a good whine.  All legit things to whine about and you did it without getting mean. I hope you get a lot of mail in the next few days :) Everything will work out..it sounds like you are well prepared. Good luck with everything!

YUCK. just complete YUCK. I'm upset FOR YOU about the RSVPs because as I type this, I'm printing mine out! I honestly don't understand it either - if they're addressed and stamped, it's really not hard to find a pen, pencil, marker, or blood to check a darn box to state if you're coming or not! (I'm really worried about this)

aaaaaand I love working with bitter/snippy people! ... not. But I'm so proud of you for keeping track of records so you can get your free upgrades. Anytime my dad calls a company with a problem (i.e. the cell phone company if the bill is wrong) he sits down with a pad of paper and a pen and records the date, time, who he is speaking with and their position.

I'm glad you whined on TK but I hope things get better! [:

Thanks for listening, ladies! I'm always a meticulous record taker because I've been burned in the past. I'm down right obsessive about it now... but it's more than paid off! :)

The RSVP situation just completely amazes me. Almost 30 couples with no response... how is that possible?! There's no way that many invites were lost in the mail. hehe

Ugh sorry about the rsvps. I don't understand it either and I've vowed that I will never not send one in. It annoyed me and I don't want to do that to other people. It sucks but at least that's am easy (albeit time consuming fix). That sucks about your reception venue. You'd think that since your about to spend a good chunk of change they would have a better attitude. Good luck with everything!

I don't understand the RSVP thing.  Whenever I get an invite I'm so excited I mail it back right away.

ITA on the RSVP's..........it sucks that people can't have the courtesy to send them back.

I agree, you were not snippy in the least. These are all legit gripes. NO ONE got rooms at our hotel except us, my friend from out of town and our kids. Oh well, LOL.

    Good luck.
