FI and I just started registering, and I didn't realize how intensive it would be. We decided on Bed, Bath and Beyond, Kohl's, and either Sear's or Home Depot. I've only just started doing my BB&B registry, and I have 13 items so far!
I'm having a bit of a dilemma because I don't know where my item limit needs to be or how much is too much to ask people to spend. I'm 21, and FI is 25. He is the first grandchild to get married on his side, and he has lots of aunts and uncles who are fairly wealthy. Not that I'm being greedy, but, you know, I am just excited. We have a very diverse bunch invited to our wedding, so I am trying to get a good spread across the board, but I don't know where my max cap should be. (I put a $550 Dyson Ball vacuum on the registry, but if I get that I will honestly faint.)
Most of the stuff I've picked so far is in the $30-$50 range. I figured most of my friends who are working minimum wage college jobs could afford something from this catagory. I don't want to make them go broke since they aren't required to get us anything.
Do I keep most things in this price range for the sake of being respectful? Do I sacrifice some higher quality stuff for the ones that are cheaper?
How many items total did you end up registering for?
How much was your most expensive item?
These are questions I never thought I'd be asking myself, or other people, for that matter! Thanks in advance!
