Transportation question

Are you guys providing transportation from the airport to the accommodations ? We were originally going to pay for the taxi's / shuttles but because everyone is coming at such different times it is becoming very expensive. Just wanted to get some feedback from everyone on the board =)

    We're not planning to provide transportation from the airport because of the same reason, everyone will be coming in on different days at different times. Have you already offered this to your guests? Maybe you could just offer information for the least expensive transportation? Take the leg work out of it for them.

    We are not providing transportation either.  Basically for the same reason, people are coming and going on all different days and into different airports.  Some are flying directly into Key West and others are flying into Miami or Ft Lauderdale and doing the scenic 4-hour drive down.

    No way. Too expensive. Plus, I would never expect anyone to pay my way from the airport to lodging.

    We have decided to rent a car, and most people coming down will want to explore a little on their own and will be rentin their own cars as well for the week :)

    No. Everyone came in at different times and everyone was planning on renting a car to explore the island so it wasn't necessary. We just took care of transportation the day of.

    I am glad you guys are saying that ! We originally planned on offering taxi's from the local airport to the villas. We have not told guests this because we were waiting to see exactly how many we would need. Now that it is several I do not think it is in our budget. I have arranged taxi's for everyone and just let them know the cost. I think I did a lot by putting everyone in groups so it comes out to be like $10 a person which is not too bad right ?

    We will just stick to the day of transport =)

    I'm with everyone else. You did the hard work for them and at least there will be transportation available. Us and our guests will all be flying in on the same flight since there are only certain flights on certain days at certain times that fly to Cozumel so all of our shuttles/taxis were booked through the travel agent. Otherwise, I would not be paying for everyone's way to get to their lodging.
