How many months in advance did you send Save the Dates?

I know it's been asked before but...How many months in advance did you send Save the Dates?

My wedding isn't until October, but the STDs are done, in envelopes, addressed with stamps! I'm itching to send them out but don't know if it's still "too early."

I sent mine out like 7.5 months out.

I will probably send mine about 7-8 months before the wedding.

If they are stamped, I would send them out now. Postage is going to increase in two weeks.

But I sent mine at the 6.5 month mark, I believe.

I got wedding stamps that are forever stamps. Coincidentally they just happened to be the ones I liked best. So (thankfully) that won't be an issue!

In that case I would hold off sending them for a bit. 6-8 months is the general time frame.

I think I did it at 8 months. I couldnt stand looking at them anymore..lol..I had to send them.

I sent mine out at 8 months since I had a lot of out of town guest.

Ours are going out next week (7 months before). The sooner the better especially if you have a lot of out of town guests so they can start watching air fare.

We sent ours at 6 months. We didn't have a lot of OOT guests.

Honestly, I'd send them out soon if you already have everything addressed/stamped. If you wait another month a couple could break up or someone could announce they're moving.

I decided to just throw them in the mail this week

We do have a lot of out of town guests (my Dad's entire side), and the STDs include hotel info for everyone to book if they want to. Thanks for all the help girls. I feel like sending STDs is what makes it all seem more real!

We sent ours out really early... mostly because we were tired of people asking us when the wedding was and secondly because stamps were going up in 2012. We sent them out about 9 months before the wedding.
