Centerpiece with Orchids- Real or Fake?

Hi ladies! Part of our centerpiece is going to be a large cylinder vase with orchids submerged in water and a floating candle.. But I'm just wondering your opinions on using real or fake orchids.. Which do you think will look better? And does anyone who has done this or something similar know pricing for either?

Thanks! Smile

As far as "looking" better your real is always going to look the best.  They are after all, real.  The permanent however, is going to be more cost effective.  Depends on what is more important to you.

I agree with the PP. Real is going to look better but is going to cost more

real...I would be afraid fake would bleed and make the water colored.

Thanks! I looked at afloral.com and ordered a few different varieties, I'm going to see how they look and make sure the colors won't bleed before I make the final decision of real or fake.
    Thanks ladies! :)

If they're going to be submerged in water it's probably going to be even harder to tell that they are fake.  If it were my decision, I'd definitely cut corners here.  But do test one to make sure they don't bleed as PP mentioned.

We are doing submerged orchids for 1 of our centerpieces using silk orchids.  They look great!!  And no worries about colors bleeding either.

    Just wanted to update!
I recieved the orchids from afloral.com, shipping only took three days and they're really pretty. I went with ivory colored ones because the other vases around the table will incorporate our colors (Teal and Sangria) and I got lucky because they were having a HUGE sale on them, I ordered 7 stems and I paid less than $20 with shipping. :)

I haven't put one all together yet, but I will this week and I'm sure I'll post a photo!

Thanks for all of your opinions ladies and a special thanks to Ashley1721 for telling me about afloral.com! :)
