Wedding Party

Okay...

-My siggy from a year ago is up (showing I have 7 months until a wedding that took place back in July)

-No recent posts are happening.

-Safari won't support knot tv which means it takes forever to load.

-I can't get rid of knot tv.

I'm dangerously close to spending my day doing actual work b/c I can't refresh the pages :(

"I think bablingbrooke is the 13 yr old marring her cousin at the town hall. Lets all give her a big hand. And hope her inbred children can live normal lives." -tabs.

A word of warning from your friends at Cracked.com: Remember that text is going to be how you make your first impression over the internet; if every third word you type is misspelled, people will automatically assume that you're a moron.

Re: Okay...

  • I blocked a few too many things on Adblocker plus and the boards went away.  But I did get it to block the entire frame that KnotTV is on so that the boards actually load.
  • Danieliza posted a direct link on P&E for getting rid of knottv.

To refresh your siggy just go into your profile and save changes. Its supposed to update.

And Im pissed that our posts from last night and this morning arent showing up. I hope our posters with questions read our answers before they were wiped clean!

  • Alright, I can deal now.  Whew.

  • I know, I hope the newer responses show up soon! Brooke, I'm with you, it's looking like I might not get to spend the afternoon pretending to work and instead have to actually DO my work.
  • I do like that it has the answers to the two FAQs at the top.  Maybe we'll have less than 100 "can I have uneven sides?" posts per day!

  • Wow, I have over 6,000 posts?  Seriously?!  Damn, I talk a lot!
  • Thanks for the tip about the signatures.  I'm very sad that the feature where I can see all the threads that I've posted in appears to be gone.

I'm wondering if the missing posts have been archived somewhere, or if they're completely gone...

This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
  • I just figured out how to make theknot tv go away!

If you collapse the huge thing at the top of the screen, right click on the tv and it brings up a bunch of options includeing "stop".  Click that and it goes away!!!

Repeat this to your self: My Wedding Party is made of my family and friends and I should treat them as such.
  • You can see all of your posts if you click the magnifying glass at the bottom of a post.  That's kind of similar except you can do the same for any other username as well.
  • Other than the format, are most of the questions answered?

I think there's an overlap issue between the time some questions were posed and answered and the new format this morning.  I'll see if it's possible for them to come back.

  • Danieliza's link is really helpful.  I too miss the list of threads I've already posted on.  Oh well, baby steps.

  • Are they going to give us any privacy options?  The old ones don't work.  I'm not a big fan of having all of my info displayed everywhere- location, most recently active, etc.
  • If you right-click on the board title, you should get a screen that has no Knot TV at all.

  • The bolding on each board is kind of wonky: If I've opened a thread it will go grey, but it won't rebold if there are new posts.  Is that the way it's going to be from now on?  It's kind of lame.

Also, I keep getting unhandled exceptions and have to reload the page, which restarts Knot TV...  It's really annoying.

  • Yay, fixed my ticker! All the media at the top seems to make the whole page load slower, that's kind of annoying.

The total post count makes me want to post more...but I'm a competitive freak like that :)
