So, our ringbearer was my 4 1/2 year old cousin, Isaac. He was PUMPED for about a year for this crucial role. When we first talked to him about it, we thought we would have our rings in a little box attached to the pillow, so we told him that he would have to be extra careful while he was carrying it.
The week of the wedding, we realized that the box wouldn't close due to DH's ring, so we decided to give them to the best man, but we forgot to tell Isaac.
Day of the wedding, Isaac stood on stage the WHOLE time, smiling the WHOLE time. I think I heard someone say he yawned once, and then went right back to smiling.
I was talking to my mom today and she told me this story of what happened while the receiving line was starting up.
After the recessional, my aunt went to the back of the church to grab Isaac and he was bawling. She asked him what was wrong.
Isaac: "Mommy, Emi and Fletcher aren't married."
Aunt: "Sweetie, the wedding is over. They are married now."
Isaac: "The rings. I never took them out of the box. They can't be married WITHOUT THEIR RINGS."
Aunt: "Isaac, open your box.
~he opens it, and realizes there's nothing inside.~
Now look at Emi and Fletcher's fingers."
Isaac: "They have their rings. Was it wedding magic?"
Aunt: "Must have been"
