I took a nap after work today and woke up to a pleasant surprise. DH climbed up on the roof and hung icicle lights, put lights on the bushes, and put red and green spotlights in the yard. He's not usually one for decorating, but I guess now that we have our own house, he wants to show it off a little. So in an attempt to wake the board up, lets talk decorations:

I can't wait until we have a house and I can go crazy with the decorating. Growing up, my mom made our house look like a total winter wonderland, tree in every room basically. I don't want to go that over the top but I would like the space to do more than just a tree and some pinecones.

I did go out and get some garland, candles, and stocking holders for the mantle, though. It looks really nice.

It was a two hour nap and he works pretty fast. We ran out of lights, hes going to do over the garage tomorrow- that makes me nervous!
