Bella Alterations

Have you ever used them to alter/repair any kind of dress?  Please tell me your experience.  Did they do exactly what they promised?  Did they have it ready on time?  Were you happy with the service?  Anything that you could offer is appreciated.

    Hi Laurie,

i was just a bridesmaid in my best friends wedding and we got our dresses from Elizabeth's in Northville (including the bride).  Elizabeth's suggested Bella Alterations in Livonia and we all went there.  I thought they did a great job!  Elizabeth's ordered my bm dress 2 sizes too big so my BM dress was altered 3 times and I only paid one price....$60 which I felt was a great price considering the amount of work they had to do to my dress.  My alterations were always ready on time and the owner is very sweet.

My friend who was the bride also got her dress altered there and no issues whatosever.  She had her dress altered until she thought it was perfect and they were very patient with her - I believe she went in there at least 4 or 5 times.

So overall, if you are going to get alterations done - I would suggest it.  Hope this helped!

I would also recommend them.  I had them alter 2 BM dresses, they did my sisters wedding dress, and I plan on taking mine there.  I think Angela is the greatest, but they are all good.

I don't have first hand experience yet, but I am stopping in on Saturday to get a quote from there so I can let you know how their prices compare.

I will probably go with them because honestly I'm a bit burned out on calling vendors, getting price quotes, comparing referals, etc. I just want to get it done and over with. I feel confident in their work because they have good reviews here and other places online.

Thanks everyone.  I felt confident when I left my dress with them but as I wait for my scheduled day to pick it up, I'm getting more and more nervous.  You've helped to ease my mind.
Booger and Bear, I might see you there.  I have an appointment on Saturday too.

Secour - I'd appreciate a follow up once you pick it up Saturday (unless of course I see you there lol).

Booger and Bear:  I'm back from my appointment.  Everything went fine.  I needed my dress taken in around the hip area, the zipper fixed so that it wouldn't keep sticking, and to have it pressed.  The job that they did is just fine and it cost me only $30.  They were friendly too.

This post was so hopeful! It's great to hear that everyone is so satisfied with Bella. I got my dress from I Do, Too, in Plymouth, and they recommended that I go there. I was wondering about the quality of their work, service and prices. Now I think I won't hesitate to give them a try.
