If YOU (and/or Fi) want to have a veil - go right ahead.  If it makes your heart sing- we are all for it.

Another SW bride (a few years ago) knew the "rule" about not wearing a blusher.  Her Fi told her that he really wanted the experience of lifting the veil off her face- it was very symbolic to him.  He asked her to do it, and she did.  Maybe some would judge her for that- but not me.  ~Donna

I'm full out cathedral-lenth veil baby and I love it.

I initially didn't want one either because I wanted to downplay the whole thing and didn't think it was proper and blahblah and you know what, after I tried it on with my dress I really felt it was right for me and I didn't want to downplay anything.

Try it on and see how you feel, also try on a headpiece and/or a flower, whatever you want and go with what makes you the happiest.

I am getting married for the second time as well in October, and the veil is what gives you the "bride" look, otherwise you look more like someone in a white dress all dressed up for a party and not your wedding.

I am getting married for the second time in November and I too will be sporting a veil!  I agree, it just completes the "bride" look!

My FI wants me to do the whole blusher thing.  I love my veil but just am not sure about the blusher...

If your FI wants it, DO it. It's only for the ceremony, so if it means something to him, I say do it.

I say go for it!  I am definitely wearing a veil and a wedding dress this time around!  My first wedding was thrown together at the last minute, and I wore a simple blue demin dress.
