Mason jars for wedding cocktails?

Mason jars for wedding cocktails - worth the effort? And, if so, where can I find them in large quantities?

Love the idea IF it fits the venue and style of the wedding... Details?

The only thing I would worry about is the cleaning of them. If there isn't a proper place to clean them behind the bar you might run out quickly. I wanted to do this but I didn't have the ability at the farm to clean them quickly.

You would also want to ask your venue is they are willing to use them. There may be space or limitations on the amount of alcohol they can put in each glass.

I LOVE the idea. My best friend is using mason jars for her wedding (for flower arrangements). However, mason jars are not easy to drink out of- at all. The top opening is just to big and the rim catches liquid that drips on you easily. I am not a fan of drinking out of them unless I have a straw. So if you use them, I would have specific mixed, signature drink in them that can use a straw. A mixed drink would also help with any alocohol limit that you may have (as Y I Oughta mentioned).
