    dang! i had to google it to know what it was but I wish i would have done this instead! that way people could leave a note or "wedding advice" or something. We are having a thumbprint tree as our guest book see below:

    Are you talking about the little tags that hang on branches?  If so, what about getting some card stock, ribbon, and a single hole punch from Michaels?  You could als see if they have a leaf cut out (look in the scrapbook aisle), cut the tags in shapes of leaves, thread with ribbon, and hang from the branches.

    Yes I've considered making the leaves myself but getting branches or a tree is puzzling me without the expensive ones online. Just didn't know if anyone had found a bargain.

    I love this idea, but it was done at a friends wedding so I'm putting a spin on mine. I'm using the tree to hold the escort cards (wood shaped like leaves). They were not exactly cheap... but I tried finding paper ones and no luck. I would try the DIY route, but maybe etsy has something that I missed.
