Deep Creek MD wedding

Has/is any one else getting married on Deep Creek MD? We are from Annapolis but decided that we wanted to do a semi-destination wedding in Deep Creek.

I would love nay advice on local vendors in that area.

    Annapolis is very beautiful and it is a great place for wedding photos.  It has beach, bay, nice buildings and city life.  All Deep Creek has is water.   I chose my wedding photographer based on their bridal photos in Annapolis.

    DCL is really beautiful, we considered having a wedding there as well after my husband went to a retreat and told me how pretty it was.  Most Baltimore and Annapolis vendors would be willing to travel there, so I would look at those (many mention how far they will travel and if there is an extra fee on their websites, but you can always ask if there's someone you're really interested in).  Also, when I contacted them about a wedding, they had some preferred vendors that they recommend, so you may want to talk to the person in charge of weddings there.

    And misskriss81, I'm sorry but it's against the terms of service of these boards to advertise your husband's photography business.  If you continue to post stuff like that, you can get kicked off the boards.

    You should look at the Chanteclaire Farm in deep creek. I don't know what it cost, but I went to a beautiful wedding out there. The property is georgeous and the owners were so nice. I believe they did their own catering too -- and the food was pretty good.

    I have a friend who just got married there this summer and it was a smashing success.  It's a nice, quiet area with pristine views and plenty to do! Have fun!

    Not sure if you are still considering this, but my cousin got married at the deep creek lake resort... gorgeous!  They rented the facility for the reception, perfect for the out of town guests bc after the party you can just walk to your room.  You can see the mountains from all the rooms.... and the hotel will cater for your food.  I believe they had an outside company do the cake though.  It was so pretty, they had a band they personally hired and put down a little dance floor.  The bars/rest. was all secluded for the wedding... very nice!!!
