QOD: What do you and your FI call each other?

We mainly call each other honey bunny and baby. Amore is also quite commmon. He calls me piccolina (which means little one) or bestiolina (little beast). He only calls me Nancy when he's angry. And so I hate it when he calls me by my name!

What about you guys?

Those are such cute names! I don't think I ever really thought about it, but I suppose we also have names for each other. I call fiance "honey" (even in front of his friends, but whatev). He calls me bridezilla.

. . . Just kidding. Kind of. He usually calls me sweetie.

We normally call one another babe or baby. Sometimes he calls me random other names... matilda (he says my coat looks like madeline's but he never remembers madeline so calls me matilda) Catnis (from the hunger games). He also never calls me Colleen if he uses my name he would say Col or Cols.

I call him Michael on a pretty normal scale never Mike.

We just call each other "babe" or "baby." though recently "honey" has made an appearance in my vocabulary, and I dont think FI likes it too much. He'll call me "lizzy" every once in awhile, but other people do too; so its not specific to us.

We don't call each other cutesy names... Mostly our actual names or short versions of them or Dear.. yeah.. we're boring.. Sometimes I'll call him funny names like "love muffin" in public just to see him go crimson.

We call each other "Derr". The story is we heard this guy, who is kind of a redneck say "Watch out for them Derr!" (meaning Deer) We thought it was so funny, we call each other that. We also say babe, baby, and honey bunches of oats.

Baby. It's the only pet name he likes for me or himself. Sometimes, when he wants to get my attention, he calls me by my last name. I'm not sure if he'll still do that after we're married (when I'll have his last name...)

We're weird.

His name is Jeff, I call him Deffy. Not even entirely sure where that came from. He's even in my phone that way. But he gets mad if I call him that in front of his friends. Then its either Jeff or honey or babe/baby.

He has many nicknames for me. Mostly he calls me Rach or Rachie. Sometimes I get kitty, or one of the more common ones (baby, sweetie, honey).

Also, since we're about 5 apparently, we often jokingly call each other "dumbyhead" "poopyhead" and things like that.

We have the stupidest names for each other. I honestly have no idea where they came from. We call each other babe sometimes but most often it's bische or bischie. I call him smish. haha this is embarrassing to admit. We go through cycles where we call each other weird names. One just sort of evolves into another.

I don't think I have admitted this yet to you guys...but I have a SCARY SCARY SCARY obsession with Lady Gaga. I have seen her in concert 5 times and I have 3 Gaga posters on my wall. Well, I had an even scarier obsession with her Telephone video when it came out (in case you don't know what I am talking about....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EVBsypHzF3U).

Gaga repeatedly calls Beyonce "honeybee" in this video and I made fiance watch it so much he started calling me honeybee. He also LOVES to call me pumpkin. I think those are the two main ones. When he is mad at me he calls me by my real name. MARY. BETH. and he will say it with a long pause in between them and I know things are serious. I much prefer pumpkin (or punkin) and honeybee. haha.

Recently he has been doing "sugarlips" and "sweet cheeks" some too.

I pretty much just call him baby and love and sweetie. Nothing as particular as honeybee or pumpkin, haha.

I call him "babe" or his name. He calls me "ma". I don't know why but he never calls me by my first name.

I call him: mister, mister man, bunny

he calls me: Kate... or sometimes when he calls me he says "hello, my love"

We call each other "buddy" which is an inside joke, as well.

He calls me babe. Which I hated when used in other relationships, but I like when he says it. Never baby though. That's what we call our dog penny (because she is a baby) so it would be weird if we called each other that.

I call him lukey most of the time. Or dear. Or honey.

Uhhh everything lol Funny you should mention it though. I never call him his name, and I did last night and he kinda flipped out LOL he's like why did you say my name? You never say my name! I did it because he didn't respond to "hun"...and wow did it get his attention! haha

I usually call him babe, baby, hun, or honey. Sometimes sweetie.

He calls me everything. Hun, honey, baby girl, Tiffy, Tiff, Tiffykinz lol, Tiffers, etc. When referring to me to most other people, it's "The Wife"...even before we were engaged lol I was like, no dude, you have to earn that one! And this one is strange, but he sometimes calls me Minky. Something to do with a monkey back when we first met, I don't remember for sure!

Most of time it's like "hey you!" haha. We don't really say "Hey Stephen!" because we're deaf- we just wave to each other to get our attention, you know?

But most of the time through text he calls me honey if I'm upset or need reassurance

I call him a dork. Just kidding. I call him baby sometimes.

Just in everday use, We call each other Babe fairly often, and sometimes he calls me Love. I call him Boo, sometimes, which started as a joke but now I just do it in normal conversation.

I like to bug him, so in the past I called him Jessiekins and Pookie. When he's being mean (in a joking way) sometimes I will call him Rudy Giuliani (spelling?), or just Rudy Rudest.

Annnnd sometimes we have text wars about who can come up with the most ridiculous or dirty nicknames. Usually it starts with me saying "Goodnight ____", him responding, and then it's a war. I'm not even going to share the names because I am embarrassed, but it usually involves body parts if that gives you a little hint...

We were talking about this the other day - we have way too many weird names for each other.

He calls me Mandy (my name is Amanda) - he is the only one allowed to do that - and he's done it for the last 12 years - so it's grown on me. I call him Ricky sometimes (His name is Ricardo) - because I can't pronounce Ricardo the cool way he does - with the Spanishy accents.

Otherwise - whatever strikes us - biscuits, rata (rat in Spanish), He called me chicken noodle soup today..Spaghetti Head..literally..anything that comes to mind..and we always answer..if he calls from the kitchen

"hey chicken nugget" - and I've never been called chicken nugget..I just answer..

I have only called FI by his name when talking to other people. I have called him baby since we started dating. I also call him babes. He calls me babes too. Also Catie, but not too often.

Love. that's the usual nickname for either of us both at home and in public.

If something's broken and I want him to fix it, he's Mr. Wonderful.

To his friends when I'm not around apparently he refers to me at the Little Lady (I'm not very little, but I like it) --he gets VERY defensive if anyone tries to refer to me as his Old Lady (I like that too)

If it's payday and he's handing me his check so I can pay our bills, he jokingly tells his friends, "Mama left me broke!" (then shows off how well his lunch box is stocked all the next week)

Mine is really embarassing to say the least. I don't quite remember how it came about and for the record we don't say it in front of people but I call him..... duhn dun duhhh poopy. lol I know it's weird but there was a definate comical reason for it and it just stuck. Other than that I don't call FI cutesy names either. I feel uncomfortable for some reason saying it. I guess probably since I never heard my parents use names like that. FI calls me honey though.

Baby is most common, we also use lover, fiance, honey bunny buttface (long story lol), and baby cakes.

Oh! He calls me his lady friend haha! That all started because I didn't like the word "girlfriend" and I started telling him that I felt like the word "wife" sounded old (yes, I'm weird, I know). So now I'm his lady friend. It's just a funny thing between us

some of you guys names are cute and funny ! Lol Most of the time we call each other babe..when FI is at work and he hasnt heard from me most of the morning;if I text him first he reply back with " Babies" or he if he texts 1st he'll say my last name in big letters or call me muffin head and wondering why he hasn't heard from all morning ! But overall its babe !
