Anyone know anything about ceremonies at Chataqua??

Hi ladies,

Anyone get married there, or know anything about how it works to have just a ceremony there?

We're thinking doing that and then renting out the rooftop deck at the West End for a reception this summer.

Any other good, cheap outdoor ceremont locations near Boulder you'd recommend?

    My friend looked into it and aparently theres some kind of rule that you have to get married on public grounds.  You can't use the private spaces which I think includes the garden.  Sorry my memory isn't serving me that well today.  Goodluck!

    You can have the ceremony at the chautauqua lawn for free.  Call  the City of Boulder Parks and Recreation Department (303 413-7200) to reserve the sapce.  They will ask for $100 deposit.  The Sunrise Ampitheater can be reserved through the City of Boulder Parks and Open Space Department (303 441-3440).  Call them and they will tell you the rules and restrictions.

    I got married at Chautauqua last August and it was great! The only thing that was a hassle was that we had to have the chairs, etc delivered to a friend's house nearby and then truck them all up to the green and back.
