Videographer Help!

We met with both Villanovisions and GT Modern, but---while we love their style and work---they each have major problems!

GT Modern: $2,500 for the whole day, including raw footage, won't budge one penny less than that. 8-10 month turn around for the video, which in my opinion is too long,and their contract states that you can't hold them to even that length of time

Villanovisions: Really expensive--closer to $3,000 for the whole day, including bridal prep, and we're not too thrilled with the fact that he advertises lower prices just to reel you in.

Is there anyone else out there who is similar to these two, but a little more budget friendly, 6 month or less turn around, all day coverage for $2,500 or less??

Any help would be much appreciated!!

    I had a friend use Chris Fig and she highly recommended him.  I haven't met with him yet but she really liked him

    Hi.  I'm a videographer of events.  I haven't done weddings but I know that just by bringing all that equipment, the day of labor, and the costs of transportation, etc... that price is about right...
    it's going to be hard for you to find something less than $2k for that many hours of the event.

    I would say, to save money, consider a more stylized video, with the ceremony only, and some other footage of you guys- set to music.  Hiring a photog is much more affordable (you're doing it anyway, most likely) and I would say you can find a good editor to combine the video and still photos to music.  It's not the traditional video but will be much more budget friendly.  You can probably get the videographer to charge you more like $1k for just the ceremony. 
    Those big wedding video places tend to charge more because they pay the company too.  Try posting on mandy.com and you'll get independent professionals for much less.
